Buffalo Maple Chicken Breasts with Ranch Sauce

Ingredients

Buffalo Maple Chicken

4 Exceldor Chicken Breasts
  • Chicken seasoning, to taste
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) butter
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cayenne hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) maple syrup

For the Ranch-style Sauce

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) mayonnaise
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) onion powder
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) dried dill
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • A little milk, as needed, to adjust texture

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to 400°F.
  2. Season the chicken with chicken seasoning.
  3. Grill the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes per side.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the hot sauce and maple syrup. Simmer for 2 to 4 minutes.
  5. Toward the end of cooking, brush the chicken breasts with the sauce and turn to coat both sides.
  6. Mix all ranch sauce ingredients together.
  7. Top the chicken breasts with homemade ranch sauce and chopped green onions.
