Thaw your turkey one of two classic ways

If you wish, you can thaw your Exceldor “Freezer to Oven” turkey before cooking.

In the fridge

Leave product it its original packaging.

Place turkey in fridge on a platter to catch any juices.

Allow at least one day per 2 kg (4.4 lb).

In cold water

We recommend thawing turkey in the fridge.

To speed up the process, follow these directions carefully.

Leave turkey in its original packaging and place it breast down in a container.

Submerge in cold water

Change the water frequently

Allow one to two hours per kg (2.2 lb)

THAWING CHICKEN: IT’S A BREEZE!

In the fridge

Leave product it its original packaging.

Place turkey in fridge on a platter to catch any juices.

Allow 10 hours per kg.

In cold water

Leave product it its original packaging.

Submerge in cold water.

Change the water frequently.

Allow 2 hours per kg.

Cook within 24 hours of thawing.

In the microwave

Begin thawing in the microwave and finish in the fridge to avoid partially cooking chicken. Consult your microwave owner’s manual for times and power levels.
